Throughout the week a whole host of exciting arts and entertainment events will be taking place across the city.
Film lovers will be treated to outdoor cinema screenings on the Marine Screen at Royal William Yard, with Whiskey Galore on Friday 14, Jaws on Saturday 15 and the Life Aquatic on Sunday 16, all starting at 7.30pm, preceded by contemporary and historical films made in Plymouth or about Plymouth.
There’ll be plenty of live music on the Waterfront, with a programme headlined by Jazz legend Joe Stillgoe performing at the National Marine Aquarium on Friday 14 (download the full programme here). A unique orchestral freestyle composition will take place on the Piazza on Thursday 13, when the Ten Tors Orchestra play to the movement of fish, shown on the City Centres big screen.
A new public art installation will also be opening at the University campus on Thursday 13, with contemporary dance and music performance Arrivals and Departures to launch it and much else besides.
