Just Add H₂O STEMFest for Schools

Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) is at the heart of our progress into the 21st century and, in particular, at the heart of the vision for Plymouth as an Internationally renowned Marine City.

Just Add H₂0 STEMFest is an event that has been put together by collaboration of educators, employers, researchers and STEM ambassadors to provide an inspiring and motivating showcase of Marine Science and Technology that is shaping the way we relate to our oceans.

Based around the National Marine Aquarium, the event will feature high-profile speakers, fun and engaging presentations, interactive activities and the opportunity to meet inspiring STEM role models, all of which will provide a glimpse into the world of Marine Science and Technology.

This event has been created for schools with one eye on the delivery of national curriculum objectives and one eye on motivating students to enjoy and learn STEM subjects. The early-year event can be used as a kick-start to a terms work around a marine-theme, as a way to create an engagement with the City and its marine assets or simply as a way to see off the summer-holidays.
