150th Anniversary Prestige Lecture: Professor Camille Parmesan

Plymouth University and the National Marine Aquarium are holding a unique event to celebrate the arrival in Plymouth of Professor Camille Parmesan, a Nobel prize-winning scientist and the newly-appointed National Marine Aquarium Chair in Public Understanding of Oceans and Human Health within the University's Marine Institute.

Professor Parmesan's work at Plymouth will include looking at changes in nature due to the changing climate and how this could impact on human health. She'll also be working on a global analysis of climate change responses in the marine environment to establish the scale of how our seas are altering and has a particular focus on science communication and public engagement, hence the link up with the National Marine Aquarium.
